Today's the day for pretty DIY dresses!

Yeah!
All you need is a Tshirt
(I choose a V Neck) and some fabric
(which is a little bit elastic...it forgives small mistakes!)

then you cut the T shirt in two pieces

Seize your hips and your chest
(you can even do that with the fabric--just remember to stretch it a little bit if it is elastic, so that it isn't too wide after sewing!)
Then cut the fabric from the chest length to the hips-length.

after sewing, our middle part of the dress looks like a tube --
pretty tube, though?

pin the tube on both ends to your tshirt-parts

be careful, that part is a little bit tricky...

Again, use the sewing machine..
(I had to do it twice, first time wasn't really satisfying!)

So, here it is:

You can wear it with leggings, jeggings, jeans, tights (or without anything? ;-))

...and the BEST thing? If you did the middle part a little bit longer, you can pull it either up or down, like that:

Try it! It' so easy!

Back from the Big City

Special Tipps for what you can do in N.Y in Winter? Besides the sights every tourist visits or everyone knows from a thousand of pictures, films etc? And most of them are free!

By Night, go ice-skating in Bryant Park, bring your shoes, it's for free!! Skating inmidst the high buildings like the Bank of Amerika, Rockefeller Center...it's so exciting!

Like it romantic? Grab your sweetheart, take the staten island ferry and enjoy the skyline and the view on the Statue of Liberty! The ride lasts 25 minutes- time to kiss, snuggle and enjoy!

For all the people who are into vintage: Visit the vintage Fleamarket in Chelsea -- you'll find interesting clothes, LP's, magazines and furniture, prices and quality are good and the vendors relaxed and quite talkative :-)

And if you like to escape from the hustle and bustle of time square and broadway, visit the wonderful library next to Bryants park or one of the quiet places of Barnes and Noble, the bookshop, where you can even get books in spanish!

Hungry after all these events? Visit the peacefood caf'é
http://www.peacefoodcafe.com/  for delicious vegan snacks and wonderful atmosphere!

Hope you liked my tipps,
keep on living and travelling your dreams!

My Febuary Picture

It's really worth cutting and keeping all the pictures and advertisements from the magazines you read!
You can make collages....and make a calendar out of it for example!

Was dann noch fehlt?
